Smartbest started its roots in South Africa in the late 1980’s and grew into a family business in 1992 with 7 employees with varying skills and specialisations.  Martin and Marietjie (Martin's wife) ran a very successful, quite well-known and very respected operation until they emigrated to New Zealand in 2003.

In order to provide a better service to Smartbest clients, Martin has formed associations with other trusted New Zealand IT companies which provide similar services to their clients and can therefore provide additional support where needed as well a greater range of Products and Services.  These associations are vital to any solid IT business because of the range of transferable skills available which can all be harnessed to provide additional support for clients.  Martin also receives some admin assistance from his wife, Marietjie as well as technical assistance from his son, Matthew.  Matthew is 22 Years old and has being helping his Dad build computers and support clients since his teens.

We are well-versed in a variety of IT technologies that every company requires,  We can supply turnkey IT solutions that small-to-medium businesses would require. We use this expertise to help customers with SOHO and small to mid-sized projects. 

 Martin is a Microsoft Partner specializing in Small and Mid-market Cloud Solutions as well as a Netgear Platinum Partner.  In both South Africa and New Zealand, Martin has provided Technical Training in Microsoft and CompTIA Courses for those requiring certification for their career in IT.  Martin has thus taught the theory and has well over 30 years of practical experience that you can avail yourself of.
